Not all CrossFit gyms are created equal. When choosing a CrossFit make sure that you have these questions in mind:
- Do the coaches have the real life experience and education to help me achieve my fitness goals?
- Do the coaches care about me and my fitness goals?
- Will I get the individual coaching that I require?
- Am I going to be pushed to succeed or simply just catered to?
- What ranges of experience can I leverage?
- Is there diversity in the programming?
- Are the WODs safe, scalable and achievable?
- What regular seminars, events and competitions will make this interesting, educational and fun?
- Is there enough room and equipment for me to effectively train?
- Are the other community members friendly and inviting? Do the other community members care about each other and will they support and encourage me?
- Are the facilities and equipment clean, safe and in good repair?
- And most importantly, is it a fun place to be?
Here at CrossFit Sandringham, we know we have all of these boxes ticked and more. Come in and check it out, have a chat to our Coaches and community members and see for yourself why CrossFit Sandringham is the place to become Fitter, Faster, Stronger.
Do the coaches have the real life experience and education to help me achieve my fitness goals?
Our Coaches have years of experience in the fitness industry, with more than just a CrossFit Level 1 certificate. There is a broad range of Certifications at CrossFit Sandringham and the list is constantly growing as our coaches strive to have and share the latest knowledge.
Do the coaches care about me and my fitness goals?
One of the first things that you’ll see when you walk into CrossFit Sandringham is our Goal Board. Each of our community members have a list of goals that they have published for all to see and support them in achieving. We are constantly tracking these goals and ensure that the right focus is given in the programming to allow for you to achieve your goals.
Will I get the individual coaching that I require?
We have a minimum coach to athlete ratio for all of our sessions. By limiting this, we can ensure that you get the coaching that you require.
Am I going to be pushed to succeed or simply just catered to?
You will be encouraged, you will be cheered, you will be pushed and you will be challenged. You will finish each workout but only just. If you want to cruise through your workout on auto pilot, have someone to count your reps, remember your 1 rep max or put away your gear, this isn’t the place for you.
What ranges of experience can I leverage?
Our coaches have a diverse life experience enabling them to relate to where you are at in your journey. Our sessions are shared amongst our coaches in a way that ensures you will have opportunity to benefit from their different experiences and certifications.
Is there diversity in the programming?
Have a look at our website. We publish each day’s workout and track everyone’s results. You can see that there is an effective combination of endurance, strength and gymnastics throughout the history of our WODs. You’ll also note that we do repeat workouts every so often. This helps you track your progress and see the results of all of your hard work.
Are the WODs safe, scalable and achievable?
Safe: Yes, scalable: yes and achievable: yes (but only just). We have had a range of athletes from 12 to 60+ years old complete our WODs safely and effectively for their fitness level.
What regular seminars, events and competitions will make this interesting, educational and fun?
We are always keeping things interesting by running fun competitions (dress up WODs, athlete of the month, etc), community events (bbqs, beach WODs, etc) and interesting, educational seminars (nutrition, weightlifting, etc) to make sure that you have what you need to be successful.
Is there enough room and equipment for me to effectively train?
With the limits on our class sizes, there will be enough room and equipment for you to effectively train and not have to worry about getting in 20 minutes early to secure a spot.
Are the other community members friendly and inviting? Do the other community members care about each other and will they support and encourage me?
You bet! We have a thriving, supportive community. We all introduce ourselves, share in the fun of a WOD and encourage each other through. You will often see athletes who have finished a WOD cheering others on or even going back and completing the WOD with those that are still going. It’s all encouraging and constructive. Check out our Facebook page to see for yourself.
Are the facilities and equipment clean, safe and in good repair?
Our “box” is a modern warehouse with all the necessary amenities. We love our box, so we keep it clean and well maintained. The layout has been designed specifically for CrossFit and we source our equipment from some of the best equipment providers around the world.
