Had my first crack at CFE, couldn’t run the full 10k, ran 5k then stopped (15 minutes)’ skimmed stones on the beach with my daughter, then 5k home (18 minutes)’ had to push my wife up the hills with my daughter on a bike seat………full 10k next time I think.
Nice work John. They aren’t always that long so hang in there! Skipping stones sounds like a good skills WOD for the games though…
CFE (kinda) – Race #2 Mt Macedon Salomon Trail Series 12.5km
My best result yet in a dedicated running race, 11th place overall out of 359 entrants for the long course – 1hr 46secs
Once again only 5mins to podium against some noted runnners and really happy, Macedon was super tough but I got a good start with the lead guys they started to split away at around 4km in but I held my own for the remaining 8.5km and smashed myself in the final 2km when I could see a guy gaining on me in the last 2km of non stop up hill action.
I’d honestly back Brads CFE programming so hard to anyone who reads this – before crossfit I was a triathlete and had a coach who programmed my weeks, and by training with crossfit and CFE I have just achieved my best run!
